I mean after all, my HUSBAND who likes pretty tough movies, quit watching Interview with a Vampire because it was so awful.
So, my expectations were pretty low.
I really liked it. I didn't agree with every word of her fictionalized child Jesus but I really felt like she wrote it with her heart in the right place, with respect for Jesus and Christianity.
I'm looking forward to seeing this new book.Mary Connealyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09598386111251769803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27827480.post-40294030634932879912008-03-24T15:25:00.000-05:002008-03-24T15:25:00.000-05:00Mary, I was sitting in the dentist's waiting room ...Mary,

I was sitting in the dentist's waiting room Friday afternoon looking at a Time magazine which had a one-page article about Anne Rice's conversion back to Christianity. She had been raised in the faith, but had wandered away in adulthood.....and now this wonderful, amazing turnaround for her.Jeannellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10506888396193293867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27827480.post-6678308997367989942008-03-24T13:00:00.000-05:002008-03-24T13:00:00.000-05:00I read a few of them. It didn't want to load exactly, very hesitant to scroll so I gave up but the comments are nasty.

In the author's notes of her book Christ the Lord, Out of Egypt, she said one of the things that really helped her restore her faith was the odd hostility to Jesus in the intellectual, artist atheistic crowd she ran with.
There was nothing similar for other faith leaders, like Mohammad, and nothing like it even in historical villains, like Hitler. She just thought that hostility was a reaction, among unbelievers, to the real sense everyone had of Jesus true nature and power.

How interesting to think hostility to Jesus could bring someone closer to Him.Mary Connealyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09598386111251769803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27827480.post-33034744155477695222008-03-24T12:22:00.000-05:002008-03-24T12:22:00.000-05:00Wow, thanks for sharing, Mary!Did you see she had ...Wow, thanks for sharing, Mary!

Did you see she had 795 comments?!Missy Tippenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05480008023330542958noreply@blogger.com
