Creeping Phlox

This is my favorite time of the year at my house. My creeping phlox are just gorgeous. I didn't plant them. A green thumb is so NOT my thing. But I have helped them spread and I haven't killed them. So I get some credit for that.

This house was built by my husband's grandfather about ninety years ago. So we live on the ancestral family home. that sound so much more grand than, we bought the only empty house near our farm, which is also true.

Hi Mary!
I'm stopping by to check out your cyberpad. Creeping phlox, ancestral homes, and buffalo. This is my kind of blog! I'll be stopping in to read more.

Oh no! Now I'll have to think of something to write. Yikes!

HA! Now that makes me feel good because I DID plant them. But I vaguely remember them starting out as two or three itty bitty little plants, so put yourself in the greenthumb column Connealy, because they look stunning now! Happy spring!

Beutiful--If you let them keep creeping, you won't have to mow.

Hi, Cooper. Your blog is so quiet these days you should be ashamed.
Uh, yeah, I know, you're busy. I'd say that's an understatement. :)

Hi, Sue. I keep hoping for the day they cover the lawn. There's a paved sidewalk along the front of them on the left side, Cooper put that in...I live in her old house. It stops the phlox from creeping farther forward, which thwarts my plans for total-lawn domination and now mowing. But I never get around to tearing the sidewalk out. And I walk on it too, what'll I do if it's gone????

Creeping phlox...sounds like a strange disease! I'm surprised you didn't make it into a book title.
Buffalo are my husband's favorite animal. We once made a 90-mile journey in Arizona to find an alleged buffalo herd, and get a buffalo burger. Were we disappointed. My husband said that we traveled all the way from Florida to Arizona without seeing any "stinking buffalo roaming!"

I planted phlox this year. Hope it eventually looks as great as yours!

Just like Myra, I planted some phlox this year! They are so itty-bitty, I hope they make it! :) I hope they look like yours. Well, not taking over or anything, but flourishing would be nice. As for the rest of our front garden, um, the rocks are doing fine...

Wow, Mary, that's got to be the biggest patch of phlox I've ever seen! Very lovely!
