More Spring Babies

Gathered around the hay feeder.

Look at this one with the cute stripe on her face.
Our calves are mostly black so we love a little excitement!

Here's a close up. :)

Look at this two cuties. They're posing for me.

And this one, well, not POSING so much as staring, waiting for me to ATTACK!

Scary dangerous humans!

We found him all alone. Where is his mama? What can have happened?

Uh...turns out she wandered off to eat grass. Crisis averted.

we have cows in the pasture next to our house and we love watching the babies this time of year! sometimes even being born :)

last year a little one was curled up in the snow all alone as i was driving home and i got out of the car to check on the poor little dear
i about scared him half to death and then his mom came running from around a hill and about scared me half to death :)

ps--i just finished "Montana Rose" and LOVED it!!! can't wait for "The Husband Tree"

My husband takes me with him to check them if I HUSTLE. :)

I wished I'd taken my camera with me a few days ago when we found a newborn.

So I remembered this time but it would have been fun to show you a tiny, still wet baby. Well, a little messy too, maybe not PURE fun. :)

Love them! The first baby arrived in the pasture up the road this week. A sure sign of spring.
