These are cake donuts, not raised/glazed. I preferred them rolled in sugar over glaze or powdered sugar. The theory being....well, no theory, just sugar, sugar, sugar!!!!!!!!!
Two things.
1) click on the pictures and they get bigger, the easier to read the recipe.
2) If you click on it, note the BATTERED CONDITION of the recipe. This has been used TOO MUCH.

I have nevah made a donut in my life. Is this something I should be thinking about?
What do you use for fat or oil?
I am diabetic but I used to love do nuts, the Krispi Cream ones, I was never able to make them
I wish there was not so many foods avertised on TV, they show how good they are and make you want them and then the next commerical will be telling about how fat we Americans are and that is the reason for Diabetic, Heart problems and everything else. I know I can't have sweets so I have had to just remove it from my mind and if I can't stand it I go make me some sugar free Chocolate pudding and that does it.

Cheryl, I used corn oil. Crisco. I have a fry daddy and it works fine.
Honestly, if you make these let me know. And good luck.
Edna, have you ever noticed that the diet articles in the ladies magazines, are all right next to the chocolate cake recipes?
Oh thank you, thank you! I will look forward to trying these!!
