Winchesters and Watercolors

My current work in progress,
which won’t be released for a while—so forget all about it—
is going to be about western artist.
A dreamer, not practical at all, who falls in love with a western woman.

Boiled all the way down:

They see an elk. He reaches for his sketch pad, she reaches for her rifle.

Oh, they are having so much fun disrespecting each other while fighting their attraction. It’s great.

To write the book, I’m researching western artists like Frederick Remington, Charlie Russell and Thomas Moran. So, since that’s about all I know this week, I’m going to write about them over on Petticoats & Pistols today.

Come On Over

I think you need to visit the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa. It's chock-full of fantastic Western art.

Someone over on Petticoats and Pistols mentioned the Gilrease, Myra. I'd love that. You could come with me.

Hi, Cherry Blossom and Abi.
I'm having a lot of fun writing it.

I'm trying to deal with respect and self-respect. I've got two people who are very DIFFERENT than how the world says they shoudl be. A woman who wants to wear chaps and a man who has a passion for painting.

While they rale against the treatment they get for being unconventional, they are also giving each other a hard time for being unconventional.
