There's just nothing funny about it

You KNOW I'm always trying to be funny.
It's like a SICKNESS
But I got these pictures of my granddaughter over the weekend and there's just nothing funny about them.
Beautiful, precious, sweet...but not FUNNY.

So, I worked with the pictures, trying to come up with something funny. Sweet funny, maybe. But there's just nuthin'.

She's too cute to eat her veggies. That's kinda funny, though the bib creator folks will get credit for that. Not me.

And here is a four generation picture with Elle, her mama, her granddaddy (my husband) and her great-grandma at Great Grandma's 90th birthday party. We celebrated that over the weekend.

Not funny at all. Inspiring, wonderful, proud. A terrific family gathered together to celebrate the life of a terrific woman...who started as a young married woman without electricity and handled all that hard, hard work, pretty darned well.

So no humor today. I feel like I'm failing. But there's just nothing funny about this sweet baby and the nice people in my life. God bless them all.

If you want funny, I've got a book coming out July 1st.

Montana Rose

A romantic comedy with cowboys.

I'll think of something funny to say about that...but not today.

You're right, Mary. There's nothing the least bit funny about those pics!

Give Elle a hug for me if you can spare one!

There's just somethin' about granddaughters that makes a grandma go all gaga. Having just returned after a week at the beach with my precious granddaughter (and the rest of her family, including her big brother), I hereby absolve you of any guilt you may be feeling about how proud you are.

Duh. Like guilt's even a possibility!

Hi Mary,

What a little cutie!

I'm going to be a grandma in November. I can't wait!

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us.

Rose

PS Will you be having a book signing for Montana Rose at B&N in Sioux City?

Hi, Rose. I'm planning on a Sioux City signing. Nothing is set yet, though. I'll be sure and post it here when I know more.

CARA! Puhleeze never say that again about Elle looking like me.

My daughter starts crying uncontrollably and it's just embarrassing for everyone.
