My favorite L'Amour book is/was REILLY'S LUCK. Half way thru the book the hero is suddenly murdered! Now what??? Then you get the 2nd half of the book. Another author who does that is Gilbert Morris: don't blink, the star of the story may not make it to the next page. so says Mr. Book Look.

Mr. B.L. again...did I mention somewhere that many are saying the best (speaking of classics) Connealy book is PETTICOAT RANCH?

When I catch myself daydreaming about Louis L'Amour I remember that one where the rich guy from the east, who left the west as a young man when he becamse 'the kid from the crossing'. Comes back to the west to die.
Remember that?
He does it to spite his wife?

I can't remember details or the title. I just know I loved it.
